Dearest Bec, the bestest friend and colleague that anyone could wish for. A most brilliant nurse, caring for children with disability and their families with passion, enthusiasm and creativity, always fighting for their rights so that their needs could be met. A fantastic Child Development Team Leader, a proper leader indeed, respected by so many. As a friend, always supportive and willing to listen, and give helpful reflections, and one of her giggles and lovely smiles. We have been friends since 1979, when I arrived in Wales. Without Bec's support and mentoring I would never have become the physiotherapist I became. I learnt so much from Bec. We had hard times at work, and very big challenges, but also great fun and laughter. Bec has been a huge part of my life and she will be missed, but as the saying goes 'whatever we were to each other that we are still' and we were a lot to each other,so that's lovely to keep. With great memories of so many great times together Elaine
